Diverse Support Group Meeting with Smiling Participants in Comfortable Setting

Intersection of CALD Communities, Psychosocial Disability and Mental Health: Delivering Culturally Responsive and Inclusive Support

Please join us for the upcoming session with Cliff Chen of National Disability Ethnic Alliance, whose research experience has focus primarily on the intersection of CALD communities, psychosocial disability and mental health.

It will consider some of the barriers people may experience in accessing and navigating mental health and disability supports, alongside considerations for providing culturally responsive, inclusive and person-centred support.

The session will also reflect on the role of relationships, family and community in people’s experiences of mental health and recovery and consider broader implications for service delivery and policy.

This session is intended for mental health professionals, disability service providers, community sector workers and policy makers interested in culturally responsive and inclusive practice.

This is a valuable opportunity to deepen your learning, connect with peers, and engage in discussion with colleagues across the network.
