TTMHN Annual Event 2023
We are excited to announce that this year’s TTMHN annual event will be held at ‘The Grange’ in Campbell Town on Tuesday the 28th of February. The focus for the event will be approaches to communication and engagement with culturally and linguistically diverse CALD communities.
Open – 10am
A keynote presentation will be given by a representative from the Social Policy Research Centre (SPRC). The SPRC conducts research on a wide range of social policy issues in relation to CALD communities, including health, housing, education, and employment, and aims to inform policy and practice, and to promote social inclusion and equity.
The presentation will outline the guiding principles and key considerations set out in a communication guide developed by SPRC for public health organizations working with CALD communities during the COVID pandemic. The presentation will provide valuable insights into the nuances associated with communicating and engaging CALD communities.
A light lunch will be provided for participants.
Participants share experiences of communication and engagement with CALD clients, challenges and successes, receive feedback and insights from their peers, and develop effective strategies.
Throughout the event there will be many opportunities to network and connect with one another. This will include some focused time during afternoon tea.
Close – 3pm
Location: The Grange Estate – 4A Commonwealth Ln, Campbell Town TAS 7210
